Showcasing our build teams from last year with a sneak peak at the staff for each build team next year. Click on each team to see more photos of their actual projects. The prompts are freshman created and how your team attacks the problem is completely up to yall!
2024-2025
FlarioKart vehicle team
Flario Kart’s prompt was to “provide a modular vehicle to transport relief and aid in the limitations in difficult environments and crises. To strive for maximize comfort and safety while not compromising efficiency, speed, and agility”. In response they built a driving vehicle with a cargo area in the back to carry not only injured people back to safety but also the option to hold more medical supplies. Its build was able to travel through narrower and more offroad spaces at a cheaper overhead cost than traditional ambulances/rescue vehicles.
Flockheedmartin drone team
Flockheed’s prompt was to “build an airborne vehicle to deliver first aid supplies to 911 callers”. In response they had built a drone that had a drawer like mechanism to hold medical supplies from such as a first aid box to fly to difficult areas to reach. Attached itself was a camera for operators to use and fly accurately.
Wet Bandits aquatics team
Our goal was to eliminate waste in lakes, rivers, and oceans. We created a motorized AI boat that would collect trash using a conveyor belt and using the camera that we trained to have AI detect trash in the water to pick up the trash and then we motorized the boat to take the trash back to land that way it could be safely deposited instead of causing pollution in the water and harming our wildlife
DIRT environmental team
DIRT stood for Development in Renewable Technology and our goal was to create something that was a more sustainable alternative for something people use everyday. As students at A&M we acknowledged the amount of bikers there are so we made an attachment for bikes that generated power as you biked which would charge a portable battery which you could detach to take anywhere.
